If I remember correctly he stated he wanted to watch the human team thought process to find ways to improve the game's AI.

Cheers guys, I'm a little surprised I'm still remembered after all that has gone on here. I hope to be able to post a lot more come mid Feb (home to NZ!!!), and to be as active as possible in all the Demo games I have before.
I don't know about Civ3 veteran there, dejon; I'm more of a Demo game veteran. Nevertheless, I like to believe that some of the real veterans' work in the SP Demo game has rubbed off on me.
Back on topic, we don't need to worry about Soren. He expressed a desire to be able to watch (hence joining the team), but to take a very backseat approach. Furthermore, we have little to fear from him anyway. He may have been heavily involved in making the game and thus knows what will happen when you do this or this etc, but he will not have had the opportunity to test his mettle on it that we have. He may know the AI inside-out and backwards, but when it comes to the RP team, we are not quite so predictable.
