It's bad for the same reason as making a DL is bad . It's against the rules.

When threads start getting over 500 posts, they slow down the servers.

To add to Grrr's explaination, people sometimes decide to be obnoxious pests and spam everything in sight. The moderators are sometimes forced to permaban (possibly delete) a login to put a stop to it. Those people might start new logins to continue what they were doing. Additionally, sometimes people only get two week or longer non-permabans. They might choose to have a second login to get around the temporary ban.

I was doing the DL dance. this is a tradition in the apolyton off-topic. everyone new who comes is immedeately suspected to be a DL. actually we mostly do it for fun. . you can't be a DL, since you participate in the Demo Game.... or can you.
