The patch will be needed. As to the graphics, 120 frames make up each movement unit, and unless someone comes up with anything better, it is about the real Civilization.
Single player still can be played though.
The fault is real civilization not have a civilization to play it in, as people wanted graphics and unlike ms-dos Civilization, it is not contained in 640kB of memory.
A site in England should have the patch, maybe GameSpot UK or something to download, but alas the patch other than for the U.S. may not be out yet.
They are working on it, and that is .................... the game.
It took 6000 years of history, and someone to program it.
It is a freaky adventure, and you are the game.
Its virtual reality, and all people of the world should be able to play it, against one another, as soon as technology allows one to do this!
