	War with Roleplay??? Tired of ads?

In the Strategy section, I posted this thread to talk about an early, cash intensive [ie 40 turns/tech] war. Since it's designed for a SP game, I offer this only as a STARTING POINT for a discussion on our tactics.

If we can, I think the warrior ==> swordsman upgrade mentioned in the 2nd post is the best way to go.

Iron Trading
If there's an ally that has only one Iron when we want our upgrades, maybe we can talk then into giving it to us for 20 turns. They build warriors which they will upgrade to swordsmen later. If they want their contract cancelled before that, they declare a sham war with us, which gives them back the Iron.

Why waste shields on Swordsmen? We will be able to pop out Horsemen soon and they are upgradeable.

No War with RP at this point. We move southward anyway telling them that we don't recignize their claim to the land.

What we should do is try to get ND and Lux pissed at RP (nice job with the map to Trip, BTW). Maybe give the map to ND also.

I do not fear a war with RP for the same reasons they do not fear one with us. They are too far away at this stage.

I had a chat with Togas this morning right before I left for work and they had decided not to honor the Horseback Riding for Writing deal they had previously agree to.

This means their word is nothing. Any offer to trade us their map later, after Mapmaking, is useless as they will just as likely fail to honor that deal as this one.

We cant war with Roleplay yet.
They are simply too far away, and it would draw too many units away from our capital leaving us open to attack.

The only war we can conduct is diplomatic & political.

Continue to foster the distrust beteen ND & Lux against Roleplay. When it comes to war, these guys will be on the front line..not us.
