Does anyone know, how to give units to another player without getting the Message, "...your civ has inferior units we are not interested..." in multiplayer hot seat mode..
Do you have to adjust the attitude in the diploscreen or what else is the reason for this message?
Thanks for instant help.

i've tried setting both attitudes to worshipful one more than one occasion and still wasn't even able to trade maps with the other player.

Thanks guys.
cheat menu is not a solution.
Its a running game. 1 turn ago we change from a multiplayer *.net game to *.hot, because of a lot of AI troubles. We use ctrl N to end our turns but the AI changes lots of things so we decide to continue in hot seat mode. (7 Human players)
see this link. but its a game in german.

My idea was to trade units (settlers) and technologies. But the direct way is not possible
After short testing I think it depends on 2 things.
-Overall military strenght
I was able to give units from generally stronger Civs to a weaker Civ
-the gift unit is a superior one.

Hm, I always suposed that fot the PBEM the hotseat mode should be better than MP mode because AI can't change things...
Why not to use the cheat menu? You can disband a unit (without the cheat menu), then lower the production (if unit was in city) and obtain the tech via cheat menu, your opponent can 'build' (shift-F1) a new unit.
(Both players must enter the cheat menu, you can't do all the work yourself because you would see the opponent's map.)

Trading a settler?
What about founding a size 1 city near one of the other player's unit and telling him to take the city? You can give a tech that way. Not that it's very practical, I am afraid.

Are you sure it can't? I thought it could change production or even switch government between your turns.

LDiCesare,
In a .mp game the AI supposes it plays your civilization in the beginning of your successor's turn. But in a .hot game no player loans his civ to the AI.
(I hope I am right)
