	GoW Tech Trade Offer Got spare money?

Ghengis Farb outlined a plan that he came up with.

He said that since NDE was researching Mathematics right now, and we are (hypothetically) researching Mysticism (as far as they know), he said that GoW was planning on cutting their science down to 0%, and giving us ~1/3 of their gold while we research Mysticism (and give it to them when we finish) for 10 to 12 turns before GoW trades Roleplay for Writing.

What do you think of the plan? We'd be getting short-changed a bit here, and GoW certainly comes out ahead. That's a possible 3 or 4 GPT for 10 or 12 turns, meaning 30 to 48 gold (which isn't much at this point).

We could later trade Mysticism to GoW for Math (which they got from NDE), then trade Mysticism to NDE for gold, or something else.

Are we still getting writing for HBR? Is GoW trying to get writing by trading myst?


Lets try to remember GoW proposal and apply it to our pet nation VOx. It could help out alot.

Look at the Trades thread. It's all there! What Calc (probably) means is that not Gow, but WE are going to trade for Writing with RP. In our case, for Horseback Riding.

Somehow, the GoW-RP deal on Horseback Riding for Writing was cancelled. I don't know why. It seems that they want Mysticism now to trade for Writing (or add it to their side of the deal).

The fact is that Vox, and therefore we, will not have Mysticism for a long time (probably >20 turns).

What to do about this?

First, do not tell GoW that we have a HBR-Writing deal with RP, which we hope to hold.

Second, try to get info from GoW why they think they can get Writing, while they themselves stated that the deal with RP was off.

Third, IF they are interested in Mysticism (I would guess so): try to get 12 x 5gpt = 60 gold from it, but warn them that it might take a while.

Just tell them its not doable. (we can lie like, in order to get 5 turn earlier, it costs 2 gpt on the slider, or something to the effect where GoW wont be willing to pay) Or just keep silent until we get writing.

We can apply same idea of gpt for vox. I think us recieving gpt from them is hurting their tech research... which ultimately hurts us. We should be paying them 1 gpt not recieving from later on. Gow came up with a very interesting economic idea.

So what do you guys think about the deal I originally outlined with Mysticism? I need an answer by tomorrow.

Also, Ghengis said that they'd be willing to trade us HBR for IW, but only if we wouldn't trade HBR to Roleplay. I need answers on both of these issues fairly soon.

• trade it for 60 gold (or 3 gpt for 20 turns);
  
• trade it for Mathematics;

This is the best outcome on all fronts... even if things end up working out between GoW and RP, we still end up with Writing soon, and we can later trade Mysticism to RP for Map Making, or some other similar deal. A diplomatic triumph orchestrated by BFM and myself, under guidance from our foreign ministry department.
