Yeah, I've seen those language charts with English and Frisian in their own little corner of the West Germanic languages, under the subcategory "Anglo-Frisian".


Always seems to me that it ignores the very strong influence of French vocabulary though.

A1: If you want to play with random civs (regardless of what mods you're (not) using), there are two things to keep in mind:

1. You have to play on one of the higher difficulty levels, IIRC Prince/Medium or higher.
2. You have to make sure NonRandomCivs in ctp2_program\userprofile.txt is set to No.

If both these conditions are met you'll play against different opponents every time you start a new game."

Not exactly what I had in mind. The question relates to playing
against random civs. What I'm asking is if I can choose the civs. That is to make them non-random, but the civs of my choosing.

I thought you could do this by starting a hotseat game but choosing only one human player (See the FAQ for how to enable hotseat).

Yeah you can, you can also do it by choosing a LAN game.
