Variety also mentions vague story details, which Metroid fans can probably already surmise: Metroids are discovered on SR388, and Samus, an intergalactic bounty hunter extraordinaire, is sent in to investigate. She soon encounters the evil Space Pirates and their plan to harness the power of these parasites and dominate the galaxy. Just imagining such a favorite plot unfolding in film form is enough to keep any Metroid fan happy until the movie is finally released.

This is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a while. Metroid isn't exactly a mass-market franchise like Resident Evil to begin with, plus to do it decently it'd need a big budget, AND the second Samus speaks it'll be ruined.

Metroid 2 is nothing...get an SNES emulator, download Metroid 3 (Super Metroid) and play that...friggin' awesome. Prime is very good too, as is Fusion.

I remember I played Metroid 1 using the JUSTIN BAILEY cheat (which makes a brief appearance in my SMAC fiction) so I always remembered Samus as a woman.

However I thought that it was some sort of gag so I didn't realize she really was a woman until Metroid 3 came out.

All of them were outstanding games, by the way.

orange depending on the time it took for you to beat, she takes off more armour. perhaps this is the reason why some people here didnt see that it was a girl. Worst ending is full suit Samus giving you thumbs up. bleh.

No she doesnt take off the bikinis if you beat it in like 6 seconds or something. Bah.
