The "Minister of" any area has considerable influence through the choice of questions or polls to post, the initial suggestions to be discussed, and because that person was indeed elected by the Citizens and probably matches their idea of what kind of strategies are needed at the moment.

However, this *is* a democracy game. At the end of the debates and discussions, it is the duty of the Ministers to represent the will of the Citizens to the President in their individual reports to him. A Minister can add that he disagrees, but the wishes of the Citizens may not be ignored or reversed by the Ministers or the President even if harm results from that.

Thanks for the replies guys, as i am still dipping my feet in this game (not my post count ) i think it is better for me to get a complete grasp on these types of games before i run for one.

as stated before i won't run, but asking the questions and getting the answers will help make me far more usefull in the next game , especially since this one is almost over

i would really like to be able to post screenshots though
