Madrid's new spearman question...

Where is the new spear for Madrid to go?

IIRC, it was intended for Barcelona. However, I would like to suggest that it be used to escort the new settlers coming from out of Pamplona.

Barcelonas garrison of warriors will be done in 3 turns. I know there are barbarians in the area, and the spear out of Madrid would not be able to get there before this anyway. Also, consider that Barcelona sits in relative safety in relation to other teams. The new settlers will form a city in Cow Valley that could be on the frontlines of any aggression against us.

I would like to suggest that the spear go to Pamplona. Pamplona's pop. will drop to 2. It will, then, only need the conscripts to defend it. The spear from Madrid could be timed to enter the city either the same turn or one turn after Pamplona's spearmen and settler leave to found a new city.

This is up to Togas or whoever he's appointed to handle that unit.

Once the unit is complete, I'm letting it go.

However, I will note to those who control the warriors that I'll need a warrior currently on exploration (probably that one up north) to please come back toward Madrid to keep the unruly population down in the not-too-distant future...

The Madrid Expedition will finish exploring that 'black hole' north of Pamplona, then return to Madrid. We should be back home within 12 turns.
