deity will play the three way with Horse and finbar when no one else is around - put that to one side.

Four Aussies are scheduled for play on Friday nights:
Horse
finbar
deity Hydey
Put this to one side.

Normally on Sat nights Hydey is NOT available (although he's been a bit more available lately)
My idea for starting a new 5 way last Sat night was to cover the possibility that all 5 Aussies might show, including new recruit Trev. If one didn't show we played any way with the AI taking over.

Unfortunately Hydey started the game with FOUR civs:
Horse
Trev
deity
Hydey

But if finbar AND Hydey show tonight we have a problem!

I suggest that if all FIVE players show we start that 5 way I originally suggested. Horse and Trev were badly effected by Barbs in last Sat's first session so I'm OK for this restart, but as a FIVE way.

We mneed to welcome Trev into the Aussie group to add a new dimension. He's a good player and will add to the playing possibilities and stop Horse from buying MOO or whatever it was.

Horse is the most reliable showing on every night of the week; finbar on many nights; deity on Fri and Sat and sometimes Thurs; Hydey on Fri and Trev on Sats.

This is a great entry point, it's the book I always recommend to friends in other professions that want to learn a little about economics.

Back again! Went out to get a new iMac, came home with a new eMac. Exactly the same specs, et al, as Mrs finbar's new iMac except $1400 cheaper. The only difference is the type of screen and how the machine looks.

Best of all! I found Civ 2 MP for Mac on the shelf in the games section! Must be the only one left on a shelf in a games section in a computer shop in the world!

Right! I'm now on the new computer! And I've transferred stuff across from the old one to this one. The first file transferred, of course, was Civ!



D - I managed to set up file sharing between the new one and the old one. I had a problem on the old one - FileSharingLib, an extension needed to run file sharing, had disappeared during one of the OS upgrades from 8.6. Apparently it's quite common. But there's no way of getting it back without loading another OS that carries the extension. So I did a Clean Install on the old computer with an old OS9 disk, the only OS disk I had. It buggered the old computer in terms of using it again - without resetting all the extensions and applications - but I'm not using it again so it didn't matter. Anyway, OS9 gave me back FileSharingLib, so I was able to set up file sharing. It took some working out how to transfer via TCP/IP but I did it!

This new thing has the most amazing speakers. I tried out Civ and the sound nearly blew me out of the chair.

I'll be here. Even if only to try everything out to see if the expense today was justified. Mrs finbar even made a mad dash back to the shop to get a USB ZipDrive in case I couldn't get file sharing to work. God bless her heart.

Yeah, I'm emailing George Witless to have Deity added to the Axis of Evil. In fact, I vote we send Inspectors into Deity's place looking for Weapons of Mass Cyber Destruction. Sorry Guys

Friday, got ute back at 6 and then worked till 9 (dark) took grass to dump, mate there gave me beer, 2 beer , 3 beers, got home at 10:30 and straight to bed.

Saturday cricket went shytehouse hit the grog at 6 , home at 1 am , bed

Sunday cricket ended with a 1 run lose requiring much soul scearching and blame passing, home at 10, bed by 10.01.

Monday Morning , huge hangover too ease the tired muscles.
