Monetary Aid isn't required. The West spends US$300 billion on agricultural subsidies each year. If we just ended the subsidies it would save our economies billions and allow people in developing countries to produce agro products profitably , for the domestic and export markets. We cause famines by making agriculture unprofitable for poor people in the world and then go and make ourselves feel better by donating a little aid. Vuck the aid, let's just live up to our creed and practice free trade ...oh, you mean you may need money. Well, good luck.

Tassader, it wasn't long ago at all that our financial situation seemed near-hopeless and I created a thread to beg for money from generous Apolytoners. However, a number of remarkable turn of events have changed our luck around completely, so we are actually doing pretty good right now.
