	can't start ptw Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

hi there. i've been having much trouble gettin ptw to start. i'm a mac user, who, despite the powers that be in civland treating us pretty much like s*** (we still don't have an editor for mac civIII), I decided I couldn't wait any longer for ptw. I went out and got virtual pc, civIIIpc and civ3ptw. i installed it all and, well, the editor works, but beyond that - nothing. I've tried using the start menu, the desktop alias, and even opening the folder and clicking on the civilization3x.exe icon itself. it reads the cd, and then simply stops thinking about it. no civ screen, no nothing...

now, i don't know my way around a pc os (i'm running windows 98 se) - as a mac guy much of it seems counterintuitive to me - so i'm wondering if i need to change a setting or two - or maybe download a driver or plugin.

i've already gone through quite a bit of expense with absolutely nothing to show for it except three receipts - but hey, anything for civ, right?

any help or advice anyone could give i'd appreciate greatly.

yes, it is, but i have never had this problem with any other program.

i cleared everything and reinstalled just civiii. i figured if civiii won't run, than ptw which needs civiii of course wont. i get an error message when i just try to start civiii without ptw installed. Like i said I don't know much about the workings of pc's so this is practicly meaningless. any idea what this means?
