Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

I have actually been quite disappointed with Capture the flag in SP and MP. It seems when the capital city is built right on the princess, the flag is just so hard to capture...sometimes it's easier just to kill the other civ.
I thought of an idea last night that could really improve the fun of this. What if the princess actually moved, but her movement was not controlled by you? (Picture one of those rebellious princesses who just won't listen to her father if you must)
The princess could just randomly move throughout any square within your national borders. Or she could move between cities at random.
Anyway just a fun thought I had last night. Let's see what everyone thinks.

she should wander with basic movement point and be able to "tag along" with other units, allowing for her 1 move point + their move point(s). She should also be able to "city teleport" if the city is conected by airport/harbor.

I like they idea of the princess moving randomly around! Or, to make it more challenging, let the fairy maiden start some squares away from where you start!

Yeah, I tend to steer away from princess games, but they'd be more entertaining if she wandered. I voted for the 'within borders' option. It would make for some interesting encounters when she approached a border with an enemy...
