Oh well, the EB Games website still had 1/25/03 as the date they expect to start shipping it to customers as of this last weekend. I was hoping that someone had already gotten their copy.

What's your site? And was there any definition of 'soon'?

Yes, I'm familiar with it. It's in my favorites for reviews. Great interview with Tim Curry, btw.

Yeah, but in Germany games are not allowed to show human blood or dismemberment.
Or maybe that's Australia... hmm... |
The blood in one sequence of the intro movie is green in order that we did not have to create seperate movies for the german release.

Well, of course games are "allowed" to show red blood, gore and excessive violence in Germany, it's a free country after all. However, games that contain that stuff are often put on the "Index" by the BPS, meaning they must not be sold to minors and must not be advertised. Publishers often self-censor their games to prevent that procedure.
By the way, if the violence was subtle and in a non-interactive movie there's a good chance the BPS would have considered it harmless. But these guys are highly erratic, so it's smart to take the safe road.

nope I'm serious as a heart attack. In the intro movie there's scene where a not insignificant amount of human blood sprays. After it was rendered out, compressed and ready to go, we were told that there was no way around it, since there was only one version of the game that in order to get on the german shelves, we had to turn the blood green.
