Its great to see so many excellent and well written stories coming through to the all new improved stories contest

My only slight twinge of sadness is that so many do not gain winning status, but as I said only slight!!

We all know the quality and content of all these works in this round are of wiining proportions but as Sean Connery's character said to the Highlander in the film of the same name, "There can be only one"

I'm not sure that someone can edit a poll in terms of adding / removing votes, but I am sure that DarkCloud will consider your vote when counting the results for the final poll.

I cannot beleive that cradle of thorns doesn't have so many votes that was a great story.... at least in my opinion.

Don't get discouraged, Centauri. For one thing, there might be other people that have not voted yet - and in this case just one vote would put you into the finals. For another, the stories are so great, that if a person has not read even one of them, that might put it in disadvantage.

Besides, so much more the incentive for you to make the second installment even better, right?

Is the quality of stories increasing rapidly on this forum, or it this just a tough contest round to be in? Personally, my votes go to 'Postmortem' and (hopefully) to 'Dinner with Xerxes'. But all the stories in this round are simply great.
