Jedi Masters disappear. Jedi Knights just die. Obi Wan, Yoda, and Vader were all masters. That's why they have ghosts. All those guys killed in episode 2 are just knights.

are you sure about this? is this official?

my own version is that Yoda and Obiwan gave their lives free willingly away. I mean that, Obiwan lowered his guard free willingly and Yoda disappeared while drinking tee or something. so maybe they had some life force still left, so they could glow in the dark.

Maybe not so much that they gave their life away, but they accepted their death.

Besides, we already decided that Darth didn't disappear and on top of that he wasn't a master... so that kind of works.

However, Liam's character (Obi-wans master) was a master and he didn't vanish when he died. They just burned him too... Also, why is he not a glowy dude?
