	I can not load any of my saved games..get an error. Tired of ads?

Hey Guys,

I just bought play the world. Everything is working fine until I try and load a game that I have saved (either a manuel game or an auto-save game). I get a "Data I/O error - CTZN" when trying to load pretty much any of my games. Then it gives me a Civ III dialog box and tells me there was an error reading the file and it gives me the filename and directory associated with it. Can somebody please help me out here. There is nothing more aggravating then getting to 1240 A.D. in one session and then not being able to load your game. I would appreciate any help at all.

Reinstallation did not work.
I will try Norton, however I'm starting to think it has something to do with the screen saver. It seems whenever I leave the game for 10minutes or more, the file will get corrupted. I appreciate the time guys/gals! If anyone else has any ideas please let me know.

hi ,

okay , all security programs off , uninstall , look manually for folders like , infograms , civilization , units , mods , etc , ..... delete those , reboot , reinstall ( keep security programs OFF (!) ) , get patch , reboot and diskfrag , play , ......

I think you're on the right track with the screensaver and/or virus protection. I often end up with civ3 (usually sound) problems after my PC has slept.
