I am all for a nice Pangea standard or smaller map.
Donegeal, since you have played MP before do you recommend having any cpu civs? I think roaming Barbarians are fine (I've never played with higher). I'm all for modifications if it keeps the civs more or less competitive. Let me know what you guys think.

Glad to see you around, um, Tuna...

The first thing you need to do is make sure you have the game patched with 1.14f.

The mods I was thinking of just make it so we get to pick all the charactics of our civ.
You could have the traits of Mil and Ind with the Panzer as the UU. Then you come up with a name for your team (like Tunabombearia or something equally stupid) and color (Pink ) and viola! You have a new civ (we could even talk to GhengisFarb about getting custom Leaderheads)!

CPU civs (called AI civs) is up to you guys. Since I am more experienced with MP and Civ in general, I would recomend no AI, as I think it would give me an advantage over the rest of you (plus, I think there is a bug that keeps turning the difficulty setting to Regent, which IIRC, is one higher than you normally play).

With the exception of what civ I play, I tend to play with all game settings on random. Yes, this does mean I have really crappy starts sometimes, but hell, did the Egyptians get to pick what kindda world they lived on?

We really need to discuss what type of game this is going to be. Since we are trying to do this all at the same time, I would recomend silmultanous. We would be able to stop playing when one of us needed to go and load the game back to start where we left off when we could all get back on.
Speaking of when we get back on, is 5 pm on weekdays good for everybody so far (no, I'm not saying that we play EVERY week night)?

Howdy Ho fellow civites! I would love to play simo, because e-maling sounds really long and drawn out For now, weekdays would work for me. I will be going back to second shift in about a month, so I will be bogging down games. I would love to pick a Saturday and Simo with everyone. We can find out who has the chunkiest cpu, and try it out as the server. I will get together with bill and try his landline out versus my cable modem, and see if there are any adverse problems this weekend. Oh, who is tuna? Nice to meet you.

If we are going to play tonight, then we won't use a mod and we should take our time so I can, ahem, educate, you guys...

Tuna sent me an e-mail about one other person he wanted to contact about setting up gaming together, should we see if he wants to join also?

Well, Tuna and I played a quick game on a tiny map. I was Persia, he was Aztec.

He got pinched in a corner and pooped out about a dozen Jag Warriors and over ran me.

Makes me think, the retreat ability of the Jag War is very nice. I would have stoped him if it weren't for that.
