People are just plan stupid and cruel to their children. Don't they realize this poor child is going to grow up being teased and will probably be made fun of for the rest of his life?

Living in California I've heard any number of stupid names. Every thing from a hippie name like "Stardust" or "Peace" to the just plain asinine like Mr. & Mrs. Wall naming their son "Stone". are those people drooling morons or what?

No, it is much better to go with a nice, safe, conservative name for a child then to get to far out there and doom a child to a lifetime of scorn.

I knew a girl whose last name was goat.

"Miss Goat please come to the reception desk" and all that.

She changed it to her granmothers name which was not animal related, much to the chagrin of her father.

I honestly think U.S needs a law concerning baby names, like we have in Finland. Naming your child 'Toolio' isn't freedom, it's child abuse.

I heard about some brit who named his son "Lord" or something like that, and he was made to change it.

I think it would be cool to have your name be a title; Lord, King, Duke, Doctor... I would take Academy Award Nominee.
