	Which Dark Family Does Vladimir Putin Work For? Inflate your Upload Space

Heh. Found this light-hearted story on the raw news wires earlier today. Take a gander at it, laugh insanely, and contribute to this thread afterwards as you see fit.

**tsk, tsk** I know the feeling. Yet another American myth shattered by reality — frivolous lawsuits are, indeed, filed elsewhere on planet Earth. It's a shame, really. Us Americans just aren't that unique anymore (if we ever were).

I personally think Putin is still beholden to the successor agency of the KGB. Where's a nice, clean sock when you need one?

I was refering to an event from the movie, not whatever other connotations a "clean sock" has outside that setting. I'm not worldly enough to know intimately about that, although I have a sneaking suspicion it involves birth control items.

I'd never heard the expression before (quote from movie in this case), hence my non-knowledge. What movie?

In the movie, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," Dobby is an enslaved house elf to the Draco family, which practices (apparently) the dark arts of wizardry. He is freed at the end of the movie when Harry puts a sock in a Draco book, and gives the tome to the Draco patriarch, who promptly shoves it into the hands of his slave house elf (Dobby) to carry.

The sock frees Dobby from enslavement because the curse is broken when the house elf's master gives him a piece of clothing. In this case, the sock in the tome. The Draco patriarch didn't do this intentionally, and is torqued off at Harry.

Anyway, that ties into my original post: Since Putin hasn't gotten new clothing from his master yet, which dark family is he still enslaved to? The KGB's successors, of course ...
