Fantasy General Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Anyone out there ever get into this game? I always loved this game, though I never did manage to beat it. Always got bogged down at the jungle island. I've been wanting to play it again, but can't seem to get it running under XP. Anybody have any suggestions as to how to make that work, or just pleasant (or unpleasant) memories of the game?

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Try turning off the sound. That works sometimes.

...but not all games work under XP: for example: Command and Conquer and dos shell games don't usually work.

So you may be out of luck.

Never tried to run it on XP but i can say how to Win the game:
Research Hevavy Infantrie(II) and Cavelery (I) first :=)
The rest is less important.

I would only rate it at 2 stars... it's just like any other tbs wargame

HOMM III is much better!

sadly it is a DOS game, and I'm not sure can I make it work on my WINtoosa98.

DOS games run better under Win98SE then in WinXP, though I haven't had any probs with running any of my DOS programs under XP.
