Besides the ocassional game of Civ, all I play are good old 2d adventures. I'm even trying to make one myself with AGS...

I dunno. MI4 was a disappointment if you played the previous ones before. And maybe I'm old fashioned but IMHO Indy and the Fate of Atlantis is still the best adventure ever.

Hehe yeah it was awesome, as was Day of the Tentacle.

EFMI was pretty good though I thought......the only reason not to like it was the constant in-jokes throughout the whole game; only someone very familiar with all the games would get them all.

The 3-D Monkey Island was a poor one. My favourite so far is the one with Mr. Fossey and El Pollo Diablo. Perfect cartoon style too. They should have kept it in that style.

Ok you guys are gonna have to explain why you don't like EFMI. It was way better than Curse.......better story, better puzzles, longer, and a better ending.

It is harder to compare the other 2 with the later 2 since I played them on my Amiga......they are much older games. But if I was ranking on quality relative to other games within the genre at the time my order would be:

MI2
MI1
EFMI
Curse

Curse is in last place.....but it is still a great game of course.

Edit: forgot to tell why I don't like EFMI...

Its 3d and the story is totally out of synch (I know there is an English term for that, but I can't seem to remember it right now) with the three previous game. It's just not my Guybrush anymore...
