1910bc Orders, Discussion, Results Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

This thead needs to be started.

Please post your orders here.

I ask that the Pamplona warriors first uncover that last black spot a few tiles to the SW, then head north to acompany TEG on their new assignment.

TEG -- your mission is to follow the GoW out of Spain, and then to patrol and defend our jungle borders. Kill any barbarians you come across.

The Magyar group are to also smite the barbarians (Bulgers) who are reportedly near Barcelona.

The Madrid Exped will slay the barbarians we have recently found to the north of Madrid.

Put an end to popups!

Barcelona :

Since its pop will reach 2 inhabitants at this turn, WF will be set at #5 and #8 tiles.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

There is a Concript Barb that is just north of TEG (Reg Warrior), on a mountain. I do NOT suggest that we try to kill it because of TEG main mission, to follow Basher out. Basher was NE of TEG last turn, so we should move NE.

IF that Barb wants to take a poke at TEG, then the Barb will likely be killed and TEG might be wounded, but he should survive.

Let's hope that the Barb goes after & Kills Basher...

[EDIT] I also suggest that the Madrid Warrior approach the Barb Camp along the Hill line (i.e. move SE then attack next turn).

If Oliverfa doesn't get his orders posted:
The Worker in Madrid is to move to and start roading the Game Tile (#5) - {name them ??Madrid Worker, Madrid Slaves??}.
Visgoth Slaves are to start roading - 3 turns to complete.

Tired of ads?

I agree with señor Tamali. TEG should follow Basher to make sure he is out and to give GoW a message that of strength

Enter the AD-FREE zone

Establish an embassy and give us a screenshot. Surprise us!

On a sidenote, the Conscripts in Pamplona can be utilized now since the city will not be at size 4 for approximately 10 turns more. Their, or their colleague's, services will not be needed to quell the population until that time.

Some unit of the armed services might be needed in three turns to escort the new settlers though. Perhaps it should be them

Good question señor Menendez.

The worker is going South (the game tile) to road it the next turn.

I think the pamplona conscript should stay and the spearman go out with the settler. it doesnt take long to build a new spearman in pamplona and it'll show the GoW warriors that we have plenty spearmen.
If they see a conscript warrior(!) with a settler or as a cities' defences... they'd think we could be conquered by the basher family alone.

btw we need more settlers!

This is correct Señor Meneñdez.
The Basher family cannot handle spears right, neither can they handle their black underpants right when the wind blows to strong. I saw that once... Urrrgh! Almost got sick.
Ok, more settlers are needed, accompanied by spearmen.

BTW: Worker south of Madrid... where should it be sent after roading the game?

Turn Report Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Units:
TEG moved NE - GoW warrior is directly north on desert tile, barbarians on mtn to the NW.
Pamplona Warriors moved S - uncovered last dark tile - another ivory
Magyar Warriors moved SW - spotted barbarian and his tribe
Madrid Expedition moved SE - will attack barbarian tribe next turn
Visigoth Slaves commenced Road
Madrid worker moved S

Science/Slider:
Changed to 90%. Literature in 15 turns, +0 gold.
This was discussed with Togas. We have 83 gold now, are expecting 60 from GoW, and another 50 from barbarian tribes in our sights.

Military Advisor:
Unchanged. (Still Avg to ND, GoW, Strong to Lux)

According to the score analysis, GS settled the same turn as we did, not ND.

But they seem to have settled in 1950BC, one turn after us. To be confirmed to morrow after calculations made.

Ok, I've got the scores change for this turn:

code:
Score: ND 59 (+12) RP 57 (=) LI 31 (=) GoW 31 (=)

ND +12, for me it looks more like a cultural border expansion. They might have a temple. The culture F8 screen shows an increment in ND culture, and could support my theory.

I must go now, I will post more tomorrow.

I checked the WF in "Finalized Plan for Madrid (next ~30 turns)", and no change was necessary, the listed tiles were already being worked. (cows and wheat)

However, I will remind all governors that it should not be assumed that turn players will hunt down these threads for appropriate orders. It is the responsibility of the governors to post their orders in the turn thread.

In my experience (which I now have with this issue), the main problem with doing this is that the turns have been progressing in an increasingly haphazard timing of turns. It sometimes happens (as was the case with this turn), that I didn't get orders into the correct turnthread before the turn was executed.

Perhaps we should establish a centralized governors' thread where each governor can place and update a post giving orders for their city, much like the orders threads in the Civ3DG. Then the executive working on the save for a particular turn need only check this one thread for all cities' orders rather than having to hunt stuff down or hoping that every single governor catches every single turnthread at whatever time they happen to appear.

This will become increasingly important as governors' go on trips for weekends or having other RL things just HAPPEN to take them away for the same 24 hours that 2 turns come through at the start and then the end 24 hours later (and thus the potential for missing something important rises).

Thoughts?

Or we can start several threads in advance. That way, we can be ahead and the orders can be posted for, say, 5 turns ahead.

That would be a nice solution, E_T.
And we can have 1 thread per 5 turns, rather than many small threads.

We see on the map that their Capital and their second city have not had their cultural border expanded. So it would be their third city, founded during the 29th turn. Is it possible for a city to expand in seventeen turns ?
