Is this a case of everyone shooting the body so everyone's guilty?

Denmark last week offered troops and a submarine for any military action against Iraq, but only if there is a U.N. mandate for such an attack.

Ohh a submarine! That'll be worth the effort. To go all the way from Denmark to take part in the war against that mighty Iraqi fleet.

Actually Greeks already de-mined a good chunk of earth with mines in Afganistan, rebuilt schools and hospitals and the Afganis renamed a central square in Kabul "Alexander the Great" in their honour

I would like to thank Greece for rebuilding schools and hospitals in Afganistan. Since liberation improving healthcare and education (as well as demining) have been key priorities - many nations have taken part - Greece among them.

"ALEXANDER THE GREAT" SQUARE IN KABUL
Thessaloniki, 25 May 2002 (18:41 UTC+2)
A square at the center of the Afghan capital of Kabul was named after Alexander the Great in a show of gratitude to the Greek peacekeeping force deployed in the country, which has undertaken to destroy landmines and repair city streets and schools.

According to a news report on the Athens newspaper "Ethnos", the two schools that were rebuilt had been destroyed by the air strikes and the everyday work of the Greek peacekeeping force included the construction of an ammunition warehouse, destruction of landmines, repair of the road and electricity supply infrastructure and medical care.

Greece will also finance the restoration of the Museum of Kabul and work on the project is expected to start soon.

I don't think Kabul existed then. One of my professors told me that when he was in Afganistan many years ago, a guy tried to sell him Greek coins. He didn't buy them, got back to the US and discovered that Iskandar had indeed conqured that part of the world. He was rather chagrined.
