Updated to 1100BC.
Since the Luxian war, the civs grew as follows:
GS - 29 points
ND - 30
GW - 22
RP - 28
Vox - 20
Lego - 26
Needless to say, everybody is rexing right now, trying to secure good land and resources, and thus the situation is very fluent.
As you can see, the fastest growing teams are the ND, the GS and the RP, with us closely following. Our points are somehow lower than it could be, as he haven't connected our luxury yet (losing 2 points for every happy citizen).
From these civs, the most potential seem to have the GS and us, because our research power. The ND and RP are lacking behind in the tech race already, but presumably both of them are focusing on military build-up.
Interestingly enough, the GoW is growing only a little bit faster than the Voxes. These 2 teams are losing ground with the elite. They seem to need our help (tech, money, good trades, etc), because as good as our relations with the GS are, we don't want them to have an entire continent, do we? Same goes for the RPs, and with the amazing ND (amazing because despite a resource consuming war, where they weren't able to conquer any city, they are still growing faster than anybody else, including the "strategist-team" GS).

Agreed, assuming they really are dragging behind and aren't just building up for war.

ND has probably been able to keep pace thanks to the settler they popped from a hut (even earlier than us; that settler was their second city). They just might be the most powerful Bob civ right now; their land may not be great, but they have as much of it as the other Bob civs, and likely have a strong sword force from the Lux war.

Well, yes, this is true. I'm curious to see what will happen when we road the first dye.
This could also explain why did the ND and GoW grow so quickly in the last few turns. They're probably trading luxuries. GoW is providing wines, while the ND ... I don't know. The GoW has spices, so what could that be? They can't be that stupid to sell to the GoW iron?
quote: plus, we already know that our economy is very strong - RPers & ND are not able to keep pace with us research-wise, which tells us something, too... |
This could also be a consequence of the fact that they have a big military and are not researching on 100%. But even so, yes, with all of our corrupt distant cities we still have the second GNP, MFG Goods and productivity, which is very good and ecouraging.
Btw, Madrid has grown to size 6 for 3 or 4 turns. They are probably building a wonder, even though I can't imagine wich one. Are they going for the Pyramids or is it a prebuild for a medieval wonder?
