The policy of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is not to ally ourselves to oppresive regimes such as that of the so-called Land of the Southern Slavs. This is a multi-lateral action on the part of the nations of the Social Democratic Warsaw Pact in conjunction with the Social Democratic North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The definition of Social Democracy being the belief in Democracy and the belief in Social Justice which are two things the governments of most of the nations of the world believe. Of course seeing as the South Slavic Empire is ruled by an oppressive regime steeped in rhetoric rather than morals the major powers of Europe have decided a new, democratic, government is needed for the people of the region.

There is no alliance between the Warsaw Pact (ooc the Soviet Civ should be called the Warsaw Pact the way NATO is called NATO, not France) and NATO. There is simply an agreement that Yugoslavia is a mutual threat and must be eliminated.

You really won't play the first turn, it's all arranged in fact Jim is the one who's going to take the Israeli cities. I think Israel should be part of America, that would be a lot more realistic, this way I can nuke Israel with no consequence. Oh and really you didn't DO anything you're just there and you aren't an ally or a powerful enemy so you had to go, just like Yugoslavia.

My nation may have been wiped out from under me, but we will fight on, and destroy you (ok, US, time to nuke Moscow). Also, did the event work whereby if the USSR conquers Belgrade, then did Yugoslav partisans pop up? That never happened in single player

Uh well Belgrade was the last Yugo city I captured and with that Yugoslavia was destroyed so I don't know if the event would have worked or not, I didn't know there was such an event.

I also wish to second FiGu's idea, maybe cause such conquests to result in "severe diplomatic consequences," i.e. loss of cash, because otherwise, if the USSR starts the game, there is no way of stopping it from making vast conquests

Well, yeah, but NATO wouldn't do it in 9/10 games, because if it had a spine to stand up to the USSR, it could.

It depends where jim panse wants the focus of the scenario to be. If he wants a Cold War to be WWIII, then I guess the scenario is fine. If he wants it to be more realistic, then the scenario should reflect the fact that the US would never allow NATO to nuke Israel, much less allow the Soviet Union to conquer Yugoslavia without just provocation.

Despite the American President issuing a statement to Krushev that no nukes were to be used, Nikiti decided to use nuclear weapons anyway. Because of this, America was forced to respond, and respond we did.

The news of American successes have the partisans rejoicing.

His opinion is echoed by US citizens of Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Macedonian, and Bosnian decent when they cry
