1830 BC - Orders, Discussion, Report Increase Your PM Length

Well, I'm starting this because I want to be sure these orders get out.

Overall, the city will both grow and produce a settler at the same time, dropping it to size 2. The city WF's should continue with max growth (and ironically max shields), utilizing both cow bonuses (WF #7 and #8).

The settler and Pamplona's spearman garrison are free to run to the silks and hopefully beat ND there.

The queue for the city should be reset to produce a spearman next. It is timed to be done in 1650 BC or 6 turns from the start date in 1830 BC.

Post 'em if you've got 'em.

the garrison of saragossa should run out to the silk in order to prevent a possible INVASION from the land-crazy Demogyptians and patrol the are for a while until the settler arrives there.

Have TEG follow Basher.

Have the Pamplona warriors move towards the coast, whilst staying on high ground. If you see barbarians, kill them. If not, get us some better views of the ocean.

If no orders for the Madrid group, move them North, back towards Los Sierra Brilliantes. Perhaps we'll get a better idea of the settlement situation up north.

That was my intention too, except if the barbarian we spotted last turn is still around (in that case, we shoud obviously crush him to gain some more experience)

We must ensure that ND doesnt colonize Silk city.
This is in my opinion our single most important point in the agenda. the saragossa spearman is not needed as a garrison right now, we need to discover if the yellow ones have a settler on the way, and if so stop it.

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

The save has arrived

Dejon, if you can do the save in the next 4 hours, please PM me. I will not be home for another 4 hours or so.

I also invite anyone who is online to join us in chat should we do the save this afternoon. I am currently at work and pretty busy today, but I can sneak away for a few minutes to assist with the save.

results of the turn

GoW offers us CONTACT WITH VOX. I reply with 25g and hit "accept". I also send a short PM to Panzer (See Diplomacy thread)

TEG moves N, follows Basher. GoW is now 2 turns from removal, and seem to be complying with our requests.
Pamplona Warrior moves W
Magyar moves South and defeats barbarian hut, taking 1 damage. 25g earned.
Madrid exp. moves N

Settlement group moves NW, NW, W.

Barcelona Worker moved to Silks

Barcelona production changed to spear
Pamplona production changed to spear
Saragossa production already changed to wall.

ND's "Arne" spotted nw, nw, nw of Magyar warrior, on a hill.

No new wonders being built

We are weak compared to ND, average compared to GoW, and strong compared to Lux.

Marcomanni tribes near saragossa!

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I'm afraid that ND is lying to us. They are stronger to us and consequently to Lux and have no reason to fear them. IMO, they could settle east (Brilliants Valley) without threat from Lux. They are trying to find argumens to justify their demand for settle in our lands...

On another hand, I don't think they have already a settler on the jungle near us to found the silk city : Neu Thebes has still 4 pop, and we can doubt that they have send a settler from another city for this purpose.

I completely agree with Astrologix. I've written more about that at the ND border thread.

code:
SCORE: ND 59 (+ 1) RP 57 (+ 1) GoW 41 (+11) Lux 32 (+0/+1)

GoW have their third city (+10) next to their former borders (+1)

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Of course, I will gladly do it.

code:
Number of cities: RP: 4 ND: 3 GoW: 3 Lux: 2 ND: 4000 BC: First city founded. 3500 BC: Border expansion. 3250 BC: Second city founded (presumably from the goody hut). 2630 BC: Third city founded. 1950 BC: Border expansion. GoW: 4000 BC: First city founded. 3500 BC: Border expansion. 3000 BC: Posible second city. Very close to the first because the score only grows by 4 points 1870 BC: Third city at a normal distance Lux: 3950 BC: First city founded. 3450 BC: Border expansion. 2590 BC: Second City.

Of course, this is only a guess from the study of the score evolution through time.

I think we should make something like this apart of any arguements we make to justify our continued settlements of Cow Valley.

They just want the luxuries.

[edit]:Perhaps we should admit we've had a settler on the way since prior to the border issue (even if it not true). Be polite about it, but also use it as a way to gauge if they have a settler coming our way.
