	Motorized Cavalry Get a bigger avatar today!

I havent quite settled on a name for this unit. but basically what happened was i got tired of having no use for my cavalry when i reached a certain tech level in the game. so, i am making a new unit that you can upgrade cavalry to. its not really much more powerful, but it can be airlifted. im thinking im gonna make it a weaker version of mech infantry that ignores terrain cost for movement. basically like a small strike force type unit.

anyway, i need a graphic for it, because i have no talent/interest in making one. i would like something that looks sort of like the motorcycle soldiers seen in indiana jones and the last crusade. basically this is a motorcycle with a soldier on it in a dark trenchcoat looking uniform. with helmet and "packs" on the bike.

please NO hells angels bikers. thats not what i am looking for.

well, i think this would be a cool unit, so please helpme out....

Yeah, there's a German WW2 motorcycle & sidecar around somewhere.

... Although, how about an upgrade path to armored cars (there's a decent Lancia ca. WW1 a/c out there) to more modern recon units (there's a German WW2 armored recon vehicle; etc.)

Just a thought.

Wouldn't it be better to use a helicopter unit as airborne cavalry?

There should probably be a decision ca. "real world" 1970 whether to go (1) for the Apocalypse Now "Death From Above" (2) some sort of LAV (3) & the US Army was playing around a decade or two ago with what amounted to dune buggies with machine guns.

these are all good ideas. and i havent quite settled on the units stats. i just really want to be able to do something with my cavalry

definatly something for a WW II scenario

what is also needed is antitank units , a foot soldier with a LAW , a jeep with a TOW , or a bradley with a punch , ......

Ironically, the closest WW2-in-North-Africa group akin to this were the German "Brandenburgers".

Irrespective, just think stealthy jeep and rear-lines recon and raiding.
