	Australian Release Date Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Hi. I phoned infogrames Australia to obtain a release date for Moo3 and i was told it would be released in Australia on the 28th March. I was suprised to hear this as i was expecting 28th of Feburary or befor. But since this is from the publishers them-selves who will distrubute the game here in Australia it is the final Release date and will not be released befor this date. Sorry to dissapoint.

Games Warehouse www.gameswarehouse.com/au still has it as 28th Feb. No idea which version its going to be though...

Polish release is 5th of March fully translated into Polish with no possibility to buy the original version. (other than via internet)

game won't be published in France, dixit Infogrames, the game is not even on their lists. Cymrean, this is great news for you, though I believed there would not be any translation ... where do you have this info from?

Yes i also thought it would be comming out on the 25th of feb. That why i was so suprised when infogrames told me that it would not be out until the 28th of march, i did ask her again if that date was right and if she meant the 28th of feb, and she replied that no it was the 28th of march. I dont know why it would take an extra month to bring it out here as we normaly just get the same version as the US. Anyway you can always order it from the US. So if infogrames is listening get your act together and get it out around the rest of the world as well. The US isnt the only country on the planet.

My understanding was that it was virtually a word-wide distribution, that is, within a few days of each other. Me thinks there's been a typo and it is in fact 28th February for Australia/New Zealand.

Believe me i checked this up. They told be personaly on the phone there was no error and that it is the 28th of march. That is the release date for Australia, not any ware else, that includes new zeland. If it were a world wide release, then why dose germany not have a translated version, or french, or any other. Normaly a world wide release would have all language issues sorted out befor launch, this is not the case with moo3 as with many other games it will be a staggered release date around the world. And unless infogrames haves stated a world wide release which they have not, then either order your copy from the US or wait. I will be happily playing HOI until then.

I have seen this same discussion half a dozen times with various release dates to games. The bottom line is that you cannot believe anyone - the people you phone up are clueless.

Just wait until its on the shelf, and save yourself needless angst.

I didnt speak to just any one on the phone. I spoke to there marketing department and asked, when will the game be shiped to stores, as i own my own small computer store and would like copies to sell as i have lots of interested customers including myself, and because i have a monopolpy in this area in regards to computer games and equipment hehe. Anyway i was told by the marketing department that it would be availavble from suppliers on the 28th of march. I then contacted my local supplies rep for games and he informed that i will get the copies of moo3 requested at least a few days befor the 28th march, but i could not sell it befor the 28th of MARCH for the 10,000 time. Ok so unless infogrames bring forward there release in Australia this is the FINAL WORD its dosnt get anymore offical then that. Just be patient and wait for it, ive waited over 3 years for this game now another month or so is gunna kill ya.

Guy's just letting you know that Electronics Boutique (actually now I think they are calling themselves Gamesworld or something) here in Perth said they will be selling copies of MOO3 on the 15th, yes thats THIS SATURDAY!!!!!!

So with any luck this information is correct and us Aussies will be getting some MOO3 love this weekend!

UPDATE:
Just called Harvey Norman and the guy there said they are expecting copies of MOO3 in late this afternoon (11/02/03) and will be selling the game tomorrow!!!!

Yes, and so it goes...

Someone rings up the publisher, not just any old person there, but the person in charge of everything [like they have the time to talk with the plebs], and receives news that the release date will be later than expected. The first thing they then do is get on-line and preach this news, devasting many.

Then someone phones up the stores and receives news that the release date is sooner than expected. Back and forth, back and forth, around and around.

I've seen it before, shall see it again. Save yourself the frenzy and just check the stores once a week from now on.

I spoke to them last Sunday and they told me the 31st of March ... They've gotten it wrong before but they've never been out by 6 weeks when the actual due date was only a few days away....
