I'm talking about snow here. Nice, fluffy white snow.

Now that the civilised world is blanketed in snow, what do you do? Ski, snowboard? Any good slopes or paths near you?

I'm a snowboarder, but I go cross-country skiing about twice a week. I can't think of a better way to get out in the wild

Also, I'm thinking of going snowboarding somewhere in the Alps in early April. Somewhere nice and cheap. Where?

We got about eight inches of snow this morning. There are plenty of paths through the parks around our neighborhood, and I will be out on cross-country skis when I get home from work this evening.

I've only seen real snow on maybe 6 ocassions.
I can count them.
Once in D.C., once in Oregon, 3-4 trips to Missouri.

I love sledding! I love it so much that I have broken my arm twice doing it. I had a really big and heavy Soviet-made sled. "Snow-racer" we call it here. Dangerous!
