What use is this militarily? The illusion is provided by looking through a special viewfinder. Unless you can covince all your enemies to wear them?

KH, the military is insane

the military gets all excited about beatles, which can sense heat farther than normal away, and want them studied so as to make better IR

the scientists say the beatlle can sense a fwe yards, the military thinks it is a few miles

so the military spends milliions (this was in biophysics BTW)

there are many other examples

What use is this militarily?

What is referenced above of course isn't useful. However, they are trying to develop wearable computing technology that is useful as camouflage.

Re the military and science, the US military spends about $50 billion per annum on research and development.

yeah its something like this amount. Its all apart of the "Future Warrior" system, which is planned to include all sorts of far out stuff, like an exoskeleton to magnify human strength, speed, and indurence severl times, for example.

I can do that with PhotoShop, which is a lot cheaper. In fact, if you look at the part of the image that's "in" the green cloak, it doesn't mesh with the rest. Particularly the shadows, they don't look right at all.

Funny, I had no difficulty at all telling where he was in the picture. This project needs a lot more work.
