The sentence "the total sum" meant my rebate, not the total amount I got paid. But I figure you know that, BC/SD.

I got $57 mysteriously deposited in my bank account this month from the Government of Canada as a "GST Credit". They use some mysterious formula to determine I didn't make lots of money, so they'd give me some to offset the cost of GST (federal sales tax).

Of course this doesn't compare to King Ralph giving everyone in Alberta over 16 years of age $300 for free right before an election.

Might I suggest aquiring stock in Tech Stocks. That way, while everyone else is loosing millions, you can laugh at them all and say "Ha, I only lost 3 dollars!" Its gloating money.

I try to work things so I write the government a check on April 15, rather than the other way around. No interest-free loans to them!

The best way to do it is to calculate the amount so that your balance on April 15th comes to $0. I have yet to see some one who can actually manage this though.
