Military spending has been increased recently, we have purchased even more frigates and destroyers to bolster the naval defenses of the main islands (with anti-aircraft nail-guns and giant nail-shaped torpedoes), and we have developed a new kind of nail to use with boards to defend our border colonies on the mainland... the nails are now iron-coated-platinum: so they have the ability to rust on the outside, but remain strong and unbreakable in the core.
