Installing AC under Win2k Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Hullo all!

Only that it doesn't... Or maybe I'm just plain stupid

Anyways, here's my problem in brief: I can't install the game. I do get to the start-up screen (the one with the options [install AC]/[view readme.txt]/[forgot that one]/[exit], you know which I mean.
I click on "Install", I see the splash screen and a dialog box that says "preparing setup" - and then the fun ends, just like that. Nothing happens, dead end.

could someone please please help me? I'm getting desperate here...

When i had a similar problem, it turned out to be that the CD was faulty, something like having bad sectors. Try to install the game on another PC and if it works there, then its your pc that has the problem not the CD.
