Do you need the MP Gold edition?

The reason I ask, is that I loaded up Test of Time today and it has multiplayer capability.

I was going to mention that possibility, but I don't think 'Poly would condone the use of such a patch, should one exist.

Well... many of the rules are meant to discourage slow play... like not using hutfinder DURING Your turn... and other such things.

And yes, slow players don't get invited back to games.

If a non-condoned patch allegedly existed at another site then hypothetically it would upgrade either 2.42 or ToT to MGE.

I have both... and I gather there are some nefarious places where you can upgrade 2.42>MGE or downgrade ToT>MGE. It's not quite a patch, IIRC, because it's not ToT anymore when you're done modifying it.
