ND claim they just want a city on Silks and Lux's twin city

is that enough or do we need to analyze further?

Where did you get the idea we'd give them the silk city? Our settler is 2 turns from settling it, and Togas has been skillful in talking them back from their agressive border proposal and expansion plan.

Yeah... I'm equally confused as to where jdjdjd got the idea that anyone was even thinking of letting ND have the silk city

In fact, the recent talk has ALL been about attempting to contain ND and make sure they don't take over any more of Lux than that single city... to make sure ND stays down enough to let RP Team mobilize our defenses before ND can turn around and attack Cow Valley (which they would gleefully do if given the chance).

jdjdjd, I don't know whether it's selective reading of material or just being behind on the past 24-48 hours worth of events, but ND has very much been discussed of late as the power we desperately need to CONTAIN.

I agree with dejon... this thread seems to come sorta out of left field

I plead with the Watcher to investigate why Señor jdjdjd has shaved his head bald and is running around town trying to get people to jump up and down in vigorous movement and change their diet while they’re at it. He also seems to have lost a lot of weight. I find that suspicious.

[OC] - I tried to read all the diplo stuff ;ast night but admit I had a lot to read and not enough time to read it. I am glad to hear we are not giving up on silk city and the nearby iron deposits. Some things I read or misread seemed to show we were willing to concede some things to ND in order to appease them.

I may not know as much as I need to right now, but I do know this ND will not stop with one city from Lux unless they are forced to.

Sorry if I offended, but with the add'l firewalls put up at work I have lost a lot of reading time at the site. [/OC]

He's got a point though--ND is ****ing serious about whooping ours, LI's, and GoW's collective ass. We need to stop giving in (they are apparently the least able to be talked to as we can see. )

Please keep thinking rational. Fear is the worst councellor. We have are not going to 'give' to ND, we are trying to diplomatically oppose them. Strong opposition would be immediate war and that is the least we want with such a weak army as we have now
