	Help Me!!!! Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Besides the fact that on certain days I'm beyond help.....When I was a girl living in Germany I was given a book named Caroline and Her Friends by Pierre Probst, it was a Big Golden Book. I assume this was some type of series ie: the Golden Book series I'm not sure. Anyway this was and still is one of my favorite books to read and look at.

The one i have has pages missing and has had the handy man's tool used on the binding.......duc tape because I wore it out reading it so much. I would like to find another book like this to replace the tattered one I have but can't find anything anywhere to even know where to look. I went on ask jeeves and put in the title and author but I got nothing. Any suggestions?

Yes the first one in the picture is the one I have. My god!! If I had kept it in good condition I could have sold it for a pretty penny!

hmmm, only seems to have one copy though, used and in French. $85

Good job my little schmooooooooopie, but the only one I saw for sale was in French for $85.00 which I don't mind paying but I would like the one I have and on Monks link I saw nothing about buying it.

I won't. Someone on polly has to know how to find it. I'm seeing alot of things regarding England and that alot of the books seems to beging or are in print there. Any English poster care to see what they can find out?

The other books that they show each shows a different trip by Caroline and her friends. The book that I have has all the trips they went on so apparently the split up the trips and made different books from them.

It's silly I know to want a book so bad, but I really would like to find it. I won't give up hope I know some way it can be found.

don't be silly. Your query, albeit about Civ 1 instead of a book, is what got me to this site in the first place. I had 3 out of 4 disks, lost the last one, and was unable to completely install. I was so desparate to find a place to download it that I spent about 2 months searching. Ended up here.

There are many used bookstores that have sites on the net. I use them a lot to find out of print SF classics.

I'll take a look to see if any of them have a copy. You never know.

That would be so awesome. On Monk's first link the first book the white background where she is in her red warmup suit. That's the one I'm looking for.

Wouldn't have minded French except that version was printed in 1994 and is a new re-make of the original. You know what they say........nothing is a good as the original.

But Monk I gotta give you credit you have come up with the most information so far. It's in the first link you provided the first book.

On one of the sights I saw they listed it as The Golden Treasury of Caroline and Her Friends. Maybe that would help in the serch.

The book I have is in English. If you go to the first page of the thread to Monk's first link you can see a picture of the book. I'm looking at my book now and on the front above her name it says.......The Golden Treasury of Caroline and Her Friends.

I don't have any of the publishing information because I think I wore out the first few pages reading it so much. I just loved all the stories of Inky and Puff and Caroline. I found some of my missing pages last night and was attempting to put them back in the book and started to look it over.......it brought back such wonderful memories. **sigh**

It would have had to have been written in the 60's because it was brand new when I got it and I got it when we lived in Germany which would have been from 65- 69.
