DD: You'd be surprised at the Asian countries that are majority christian, like Korea, or significant christian minority, like Indonesia. Although I wonder whether this holiday is more Hallmark than anything.

IIRC, much of the Chinese Diaspora is christian. So I guess you would probably get quite a mix in Hong Kong. But it's probably more like the Japanese celebrating Christmas. Why pass up the chance for a good holiday?
