Hot Seat game- difficulty not working Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

We are trying to play Hot Seat game using 4 computer players.
We set the difficulty at monarch, but game keeps defaulting to chieftan.

Can anyone help us?? Data appreciated!!!

In between time, Wizard, you can go back to 1.04 and it'll work fine. That's what my wife and I have done. Works great.

Personally, I think we got ripped off with the Expansion pack
since we need all these patches to fix it.
