	Wot? No Empaths?! Support Apolyton

Has anyone ever seen or know of this quaint feature/ bug? I am playing a game as the Drones, quelling the occasional riotous types, and Doctors pop up to calm the savage beasts. Early in the game I thought nothing of it, waiting for the requisite tech to convert to Empaths. I checked periodically, clicking on them to make Libs and Thinkers. But the Empaths never came. Much, much later, I discover Secrets of AC and the specialists all became Transcends (happy times), but skipped the whole Empath thing.

Is this particular to the Drones, or SMACX? Hmmmmm.

I seem to recall playing a game and getting Transcends before Thinkers, so all of my Libarians didn't turn into transcends, that must have been before I appreciated choppers.

What probably happened is you missed Centuari Meditation (Empath tech), but traded for later techs. What would have happened is an AI researched Cent Med, then researched Centurai Genetics, you traded for Genetics (or Cent Psi or Secrets of AC) thus missing out Meditation.

Aaaaah, thanks. Skipped, not traded. As a challenge, I'd been going through the game creating a horde of artifacts, rather than node-ing them, so that the AI would have a chance to catch up in tech. I finally got bored and cashed in about 8 at once. That must have been when it happened.
