Moderators wanted

Team spirit:
8 players, early modern, team game.
Suffered from severe delays in the past but it seems to be in a steady path now and quite fast for an 8-player game after a couple of replacements.

Midway:
6 players, early to mid modern.
Currently stucked and in the process of finding a replacement but after is found it generally won't bother you much.

I'll moderate midway, Keygen I think I was doing that but had lost all reference's to it when the system crashed.

IMPORTANT

Anyone with games going with Iron-Glen you need a replacement. Seems Iron-Glen had no intention of playing his games in the first place. It would seem thier only intention was to screw the games up.

I would ask the moderators for a permanent ban on his email and isp addy. This type of monkey is certainly not welcome in any part of apolyton IMHO.

Ok after seeing the turn I now know I was playing Midway. I guess moderating is out of the question, is Francis still moderating or did he drop out of all participaction here?

Yes, you can't moderate a game you play in.
Franses is theoretically moderating but he had expressed his wish to be removed a couple of months ago so I didn't want to bother him with this game.

I simply can't wait until Math get rid of his love-sickness and - maybe - restart playing challengegames. And I do not like just to drop a game, which I have used so much time on - specially as there are no clear winner yet.

I hereby offer Maths seat in his and my challengegame to a player, who plays his turns every day (or very-very close to).

Maths nation is the "german" provice Dornheim, but I do not think, that would make any trouble in the game.

Maths nation are in lead of the game with me (playing Viking) as no. 2.

We have a rather strong and welldeveloped AI as no 3 and 5 other AIs far behind.

I have turn 174 ready.

Hum? I play lots of PBEM. That is pretty much all I play?
I just every so often play at MP on-line. But I get rushed so bad over there I just about can't stand it.

Rushed ya the dorks, several dorks there no patience and no patience to teach those that are slow to be more efficient.

By rushed do you mean over 5 minutes for 5 cities? Do you know how to set a queue? Being fast online does not mean being rushed. It simply means knowing what to do and when to do it let alone how to set the queue.


I heard Quinns and others grip about this before yet in those cases people had legit complaints aginst them. On the average these people took several minute per city. Look at the math 10 cities would take them 20 minutes and still does I bet 20 minutes per turn, drag.

It can be explained by slow computers or slow minds you choose. In reality it should take less than 10 seconds per city if one know what one is doing.

That is the beauty of online and one of the main reason games do not finish. EXTREMELY slow players.

This is no different from any real time and or turn based game on the internet today. The answer is ask for help and or get better at the game online.

By PBEM RANKINGS challenge I meant group play and not one on one PBEM.

BTW I need, most times, but 10 seconds per city to play PBEM games also. Most do...PBEM just simply allows one to play the turns within 24 hours. This allows for life and not having to dedicate 4 hours to finish a game.

Most games online require at least 4 hours of dedicated time, six max.
The beauty is they do not require one year to finish and multiple people can play, my point was multiple players.
Multiple players in online require dedication, no different than here but they require six hours minimum to finish. Here six months.

Both have advantages and both require dedication to the game and speed of play.

Pete, it takes 5-10 minutes per game, depending on the size of the civilization to play and think but since I receive 1 turn only every 1-2 days lately I do give it 20-30 minutes so I can think better strategies and conduct better diplomacy
