Well no question is actually stupid but I would like to know if there is an OFFICIAL release date?
I know my local EB says FEB 25 but just wundering if its official now that it has gone gold?

The beer olympics should be in Europe since they have the best stuff. I wouldn't even call the stuff they serve in your neck of the woods "beer".
As for doctors, you take ours we take from others so that's not a problem. (for north america anyways)
Since your interested in the "Pot laws", individuals are allowed to posses small quantities for medicinal purposes. They haven't worked out the knicks in the system yet. (what mallidies qualify, currently MUST have doctors approval and there are issues with who gets to grow and/or distribute)

No, America serves all the 'budweiser' beers of Europe. It's fairly difficult to find good Euro beers anywhere, and damn near impossible to find them on tap.
There are a ton of decent microbreweries, that compare somewhat favorably to decent beer in Europe. But overall quality? Nah, can't be beat.
Man, I so miss Prague...having real Budweisers that actually taste decent. Sigh...
