I agree, there's a time span when we've only got 2 Warriors, which is living slightly on the edge. But once the third Settler is ready, there are an equivalent number of Warriors available under both scenarios. However, I honestly do think that nothing is more important in the early-game than cranking out Settlers fast. The extra exploration we will do with our Warriors will 90% likely not change our build plans, unless we go for something crazy (IMO) like a 2-Merc. rush.
We've picked the civ to focus on economy, we might as well do it (this is not directed at you Nathan, but the team in general).

At the same time in the game we'll have an equal number of warriors under both scenarios. The issue in the queue I proposed is that we will not have as many Warriors for exploring early on. Full exploration mode will come only around turn 30. Before then, we only have 1 Warrior for exploration. This does not sound like a lot, and I agree. But I'm convinced getting cities up faster is more important. We'll catch up in exploration big-time once we hit 3 cities, and we'll be all set to REX.

OK! I take the challenge.

11 Barracks 4S; capital grows, borders expand; Worker done Road, move to Forest

I think that the newly worked tile will yield 2 shields, changing the '4' into a '5' here.

I think we can discover Pottery one turn earlier. Doesn't matter much, though.

Due to the extra shield in turn 11, the Granary will be completed by now. No need to switch to the Incense tile, or to delay city growth.

VERY clever idea (also: thanks Vondrack) to complete the Granary before growing to size 3, so that we start with the FoodBox half full.
At this time, we can start a Settler, using the worker to add 10 shields from a second forest. This will give us a Settler ready-to-move on turn 23! (if we switch to working a forest for 2 turns). Another option is to build a Warrior here, to increase our Military.
I put all my new findings in Scenario 6 (see Excel file). Dominae, and E_T, could you check the numbers for me, please? It is all rather 'on the edge' so all numbers must be correct!!
Thanks in advance!
