Sean Connery I suppose.

Pierce Brosnan is pretty good as well, although the extreme sports in each of his movie gets stupider each time.

Timothy Dalton gets an honourable mention for teaming up with a bin Laden analogue.

No doubt: Connery. He, more than any other, fit the closest to Fleming's book character. Connery IS Bond!

Connery...although I do like Moore too, then Brosnan, Dalton and last, and certainly least, Lazenby.

Dalton, He was just the way I pictured Bond form the books, where ther was nothing funny about him.

and by the way it Was David Niven that played James Bond in Casino Royale, Woody Allen played his son.

Not that Dalton was bad, just that the 80's were the terminator and rambo decade, not a bond decade.

Why does everybody have to **** on Lazenby? The worst thing about his performance was his wardrobe, which he had no control over. He wasn't bad and OHMSS is a great movie...

Roger Moore, with Moonraker as the best movie. One of the worst?! No, that would be George. Not that the movie helped him.

Really, I'm not sure why everyone loves Sean. He's freakin' SCOTTISH! A Scotsman is NOT a Englishman. The only connection between the two is their landmass (and, of course, current nationality....which is merely trivial).
