	How to: Cruise Missile Alterations Tired of ads?

I am trying to alter Cruise Missiles so that they can be carried on and fired from ships and submarines. So far I am able to get them loaded onto a sub or ship, but they wont fire from them. Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to get these to work?

Modify them as aircraft so that carriers might carry them and launch them?

No luck. I can load them onto the carrier but still cannot fire them. I think it has something to do with the 'Cruise Missile' code. Once it is selected as a cruise missile certain code is written into that designation and can't be over-ridden by adding new abilities.

I've modded them to work from Aegis Cruisers and subs (these seem to me to be the only logical platforms for them).

I gave it the Bombard and Load flags.

In addition, your launch platform needs the Unload flag.

I tried it just like you wrote it but I still cannot launch the missiles from the subs. Is there something you left out?

I made the Cruise missile a tactical missile, and gave it the bombars, load, and unload flag (as well as range and bombard values). I made the Aegis and "naval missile transports," and there you go ; )

Yes this works! I could have sworn I tried this same config once before, but maybe I left out the naval missile transport part. I forget. Anyway thanks! I am now complete and will spend no more sleepless nights frustrated over this issue.
