I was thinking that we could begin to gather information about Spain now through diplomatic channels.

First, we would tell RP that we have fulfilled our obligation to ND when Trip disbanded Camp Felix. We had agreed to take that city.

Next, we express concern that we would be the next logical target of ND to allow them access to the entire north.

We could begin talks of how soon RP could be ready and what kind of forces they can throw into a war on ND. Promise them to split the island and whatnot, but NEVER FINALIZE THE DEAL, thus we will have never lied since we never sign anything.

We could of course share any information not expressly stated for our team only to ND, further sealing a deal with them.

Any strong feelings towards this end?

I dont see the icon against your name, so perhaps you are not ?

If you are not in any other team, I suggest you join. A lot of the guys are letting loose some of the tactics they used in this game.

Togas wrote up a lenghty thread on how smart he is when compared to GOW and how he used delaying tactics to make us do something we did not want.
- I assume its in reference to making us remove our scouting warriors.

I took him to task on the matter...but really couldnt have a good go at him without letting him know that because of his "tactics", GOW was going to kill RP next.

My point is.....Togas will immediately recognise delaying tactics and know something is wrong.

We could get away with it for a few days, but beyond that, it would work against us.

Also, I would expext him to try and negotiate and extension of our NAP well before the 30 turns is up.
I suggest that this is when we begin our delay tactics.
We can go back and forth about what we should get for a NAP...but again, I expect that he will start up the negotiations very early, and will go into defensive if we dont extend his NAP.

He will probably try to extend the NAP with any tech trade he does with us.

He is a shrewd diplomat. Be very wary.

Yes. Wait for a while to begin delay tactics with Roleplay. Let Togas approach us. We cannot delay for 40-50 turns.

Togas and I have gone a few rounds, I know him quite well and am well aware of his abilities. That's what happens when you deal with Lawyers.
