Hey where is the settler warrior option.

We need setller first if it can be built in under 15 turns to give us 2 citys early on. Then a quick warrior just as the barbariens kick in. Second city then makes a warrior then a settler. Then main should think about grannery.

Or am i showing how much of a newbie i am.

No, you are not. But you should know, that you are taking a chance and it is also wise think about the way your opponents uses to play. Is it aggressive (a warmonger) or defensive (a builder).

If you had been playing with fx. Lung, that tactic would be a suicidial tactic - I know it, because I have lost to him, turn 13 in one of his deadmatch games.

I agree with you Quickbeam3. But with 16 civilizations it is a bit crowded here. I can see why many are nervous about running into enemy units early on. We need to expand rapidly but with some escorts.
