I've been top many times, not due to economy (besides, I will not have my land bulldozed, nor my endangered species eaten). It got so large partly for being old, the rest I have no idea, decent public services (healthcare etc.) maybe, being delegate for a time maybe (although didn't help Kass much), or founding the region maybe? Maybe just activity? 13th largest in the world though

I founded the region, although Red_Jon and Tass joined it immediatly. Then we advertised it in the SMACDG Rec Commons, in the Nation States forum, and in the OTF here on 'Poly. It all started in Stories and Diplomacy (Can't remember if you were using NS then). It's all gone a little downhill, we used to have trading threads, and even a court (I was hearing a case, until the revolution in Akiria).

Do F.I.R. and Ubinia still exist? Kinda miss the andti-capitalist/anti-meat-eating rants

-as for being around in the story/diplo- no, I just recently joined. my nation has a pop of 36 million... so I've been registered about 15 days

I think population relates to civil rights- if you have bad c.r. it might only raise 1 mil a day- if you have good it can rise 2 mil a day... or maybe it's proportional the the # of pop that you currenlty have?

Yes, Tass was my first opponent in the first election campaign (I won with 8 endorsements, to... er... 1 )

I don't think it's civil rights, because it says in the FAQ that the measures at the top are just to show where abouts you are, with none being 'better' or 'worse', just more rights and less. Also, I don't have great civil rights, especially compared to the 'excessive' rights of Maruijiania, which started at the same time and is much smaller. However, it is not just due to time, I started when there was about 20,000 people already registered, and I am the 13th biggest Nation.

I think I started before Akiria (there were only 12,000 registered nations AFAIR), and my population is only just gonna break 300m today.

You must be doing something wrong- I know one state with a population of 900 million- the Democratic States of the Met

Ceroo has nearly always been an 'Inoffensive Centrist Democracy'. Pretty Centrist. Gonna do a little experiment and start selecting options I think may speed up pop growth (regardless of whether I agree with them or not) see if I can catch up...

There was a UN Poll on it a few days ago, and I came 13th inthe World. I think Mets was near the top, but a little below.
