That I have to mark ships as obsolete to stop the ai from building them? Is there an option where i can take over the control of ship building?

you sort of negated your question there:
if you take control, the AI is not in control, see? So no, there is no way to stop the *AI* from building ships YOU don't want, but yes, you can take control.

It's just annoying when i leave production alone for a few turns, they decided to build a few more transports. It's no biggie but hopefully corrected in a patch. Other than that so far so good; eventhough, i'm getting worked over by those bastard Humans.
